Now beef goes missing from Kerala Police’s menu

Thiruvananthapuram: Beef has been omitted from the new new menu of Kerala Police.
The new menu was issued soon after new batches started training at various police camps across the state. The controversial circular was issued from the police academy.
Even though beef does not feature in the menu, there is no ban on beef and there is no direction to avoid consumption of beef, police officials explained. The police also clarified that the menu was prepared by a dietitian at a government hospital.
Meanwhile, the police are yet to provide a formal explanation as to why beef was omitted from the menu or why it was not notified.
It must be noted that beef was on the menu while the last batch of police officers were undergoing training.
