Attack on YC workers: Court directs police to register case against Kerala CM's gunman, 4 others

Alappuzha: In a significant ruling, a court here on Saturday directed the state police to register a case against CM Pinarayi Vijayan's gunman for allegedly assaulting Youth Congress workers involved in black flag protests.
While considering a petition filed by the YC workers involved in the incident, the Chief Judicial First Class court in Alappuzha directed state police to register a case against CM's gunman, Anil, security personnel Sandeep, and three others.
Earlier, based on a complaint filed by YC workers, officials prepared a report on the incident and submitted it to the Sub-Inspector. The accused defended their actions in the report by arguing they were carrying out their duties.
The report was later submitted to court along with video footage of the incidents. Based on this, the court directed Alappuzha South Police to register a case against the accused.
