‘Anvar will contest in Beypore and win’; Sunny Joseph announces UDF’s first candidate

Kozhikode: It has been confirmed that PV Anvar will contest as the UDF candidate in Beypore. KPCC president Sunny Joseph confirmed the decision, marking the UDF’s first candidate announcement for the upcoming Assembly elections. Sunny Joseph also expressed confidence that Anvar would win from Beypore. The Trinamool Congress led by Anwar had earlier been granted associate membership in the UDF.

Meanwhile, Anvar has already begun election campaigning in Beypore. He became active in the constituency after receiving assurance from the UDF. Following the installation of flex banners and boards, Anvar has been actively engaging in the area since the past few days.

PV Anvar said a political tsunami would sweep against the LDF in Kerala and in Beypore. Earlier in the day, he visited the Chaliyam Harbour in Beypore and interacted with fishermen.

Anvar also launched sharp criticism against the sitting MLA and minister, Mohammed Riyas. “Mohammed Riyas is intoxicated by being the chief minister’s son-in-law. If development is directly felt by the people, there is no need for processions. MV Govindan’s development march is another deceit. The claims made in Govindan’s march will collapse through the UDF’s new era yatra,” Anvar said.

He further criticised Riyas for not speaking about workers even in his speeches, alleging that his focus is entirely on tourism.
