Cyberattack on Arjun's family: Police registers complaint against YouTube channels

Kozhikode: The family of Arjun, who went missing 10 days back in the Karnataka landslide, has filed a police complaint regarding a cyber attack against them. The complaint was lodged at the Chevayoor police station, targeting two YouTube channels that edited and broadcast the remarks made by Arjun's mother during a press conference.
There is a complaint that the voices of Arjun's mother and sister have been edited and circulated on social media. When Arjun's mother expressed her emotional distress over the failure of the rescue operation, a section of people turned against the family.
Earlier Arjun's mother had responded to the media, "three people had gone to the area. But no one is allowed there. They look at them as thieves who have done something wrong. It seemed the army had been summoned merely for a display of authority in the rescue effort. They have come to the rescue operation without any plans. The detectors they brought are useless; they are only meant for minor tasks. Is human life so insignificant?" she asked.
