Aluva child murder: Police carry out scientific investigation, decides to recreate crime scene

Aluva: Scientific investigation was carried out in the Aluva market in connection with the brutal murder of the five-year-old minor girl a few days ago. The half-an-hour long investigation was led by Anoop P Thankappan, the police surgeon who conducted the postmortem of the victim.
Since there are no eye witnesses in the case, collecting adequate scientific evidence is crucial for ensuring stringent punishment for the culprit. A report will be handed over to the government soon.
The police had conducted evidence collection with accused Asfaq Alam on Thursday. A piece of the victim’s clothing and footwear was recovered from the Aluva market during the process.
Meanwhile, the police have decided to recreate the crime. A dummy will be prepared for this. Asfaq will be brought to the Aluva market for recreating the scene. The incidents beginning from Aluva garage bus stop, where the accused had boarded the bus along with the girl, will be recreated as part of the investigation. Police are thoroughly verifying all the CCTV footage of the incident as well.
