AISF condemns Kerala CM's remark in assembly; warns of consequences if things are not corrected

Thiruvananthapuram: All India Students Federation, student outfit of CPI, has come out strongly against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan who had justified the SFI violence in the state in Kerala assembly on Thursday, saying that his reaction in the state assembly in connection with this is condemnable. Instead of denouncing the ruthless behaviour of SFI, which has been consistently getting involved in so many incidents of violence across the state, CM had justified their actions, AISF alleged. “Chief Minister should clarify whether he is with the hunted or the hunters”, AISF said in a statement issued on Thursday.
“If the things that need to be corrected are not corrected, the left will have to pay a heavy price in this regard” . AISF also asked the student organisations and the departments concerned to take proper action to remove such violent gangs from their organisations at a time when the colleges are taking steps to implement the four-year degree.

“The news of such violence coming out of our college campuses within a few days after the opening up of colleges is quite humiliating. The incidents of violence occurred in Kariavattom campus of Kerala University, SN College, Punalur, Government College, Nadapuram and Gurudeva College, Koyilandi are condemnable. The increasing incidents of violence in college campuses, which are meant to be creative spaces for the students, would only help to create a bad impression among the people regarding the activities of student organisations”, AISF said. .
