‘Padayappa’ blocks KSRTC super fast bus in Munnar

Munnar: Wild jumbo Padayappa was spotted blocking a KSRTC bus near Nyayamakad estate in Munnar.

The incident happened on Saturday midnight when the Thiruvananthapuram- Palani super fast bus was on its way back from Munnar. As there were no provocations, the elephant did not turn violent, rather blocked the vehicle for about five minutes. However, the elephant smashed a side-view mirror of the bus. 

Later a truck, which came by, honked loudly and drove off the tusker. Apparently, it is a common elephant route in the area and similar incidents have been reported earlier as well.
