Beijing: An Indian engineering student has taken the internet by storm after sharing a glimpse into her life at a Chinese university, and viewers can’t get over how it feels like a scene from a Chinese drama.
“Hi, everyone! I'm from India, and in this video, I'm giving you a tour of my university dorm here in Shenzhen, China,” wrote Saloni Choudhary while posting her vlog on YouTube. The video, which has quickly captured the imagination of viewers, offers a peek into a sparkling clean, modern hostel building that houses both male and female students.
Studying in China on a fully funded scholarship, Ms Choudhary revealed she doesn't have to worry about tuition fees, dorm expenses, or most other costs. “Such a blessing for international students!” she added, encouraging those curious about scholarships and student life in China to watch.
The tour begins on the 17th floor of her dormitory, which is secured by either student ID cards or facial recognition. Inside, she shows her cosy four-person room, the shared bathroom and dressing areas, and a laundry space where students can wash clothes for free.
The video sparked awe and envy online. “So much difference in Indian Dorms & Chinese Dorms… look at the cleanliness, privacy, free printing machine, free washing machines… Living at a place like this can bring mental peace, more productivity, and good health,” wrote one user.
