As attacks on train passengers continue to spark concern, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) on Wednesday confirmed action in a recent incident in Bihar that went viral on social media.

A widely circulated video shows two young men assaulting passengers with a stick aboard a train in Bihar, allegedly as part of a stunt for social media content.

Following the incident, netizens took to social media demanding strict action against the culprits. Platforms were flooded with calls urging the Railways to respond.

In a post on X, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) confirmed that the accused had been arrested and a case had been registered against them.

The authorities revealed that the incident appears to have been staged solely to gain attention on social media platforms.

“#RPF arrested 02 youths for attacking passengers in a viral video shot near #NagriHalt, Bihar, during the crossing of a train. FIR registered, others are being traced. Investigation underway,” RPF wrote on X.

The video opens with a controversial stunt showing two individuals standing beside the railway tracks, holding sticks. As a train passes by, one of them strikes passengers standing near the train’s doors. The latter part of the footage shows the duo after their arrest.
