Viral clip shows reckless driving, stunts on Delhi ring road; probe on | WATCH

New Delhi: A viral video showing a group of men indulging in reckless driving and dangerous stunts on Delhi roads has sparked outrage on social media, with police saying efforts are on to identify those involved.

The footage shows several cars speeding along the Ring Road, swerving and zigzagging through traffic, while occupants are seen standing out of sunroofs and windows, shouting as the vehicles pass other motorists.

According to police, the incident was recorded at around 10.44 pm on December 26, with the cars reportedly travelling from the ITO stretch towards Sarai Kale Khan and Noida.

A user who shared the video on X flagged the threat posed to commuters, writing, "Sharing a video of individuals driving recklessly on Ring Road from ITO towards Sarai Kale Khan. They are driving in an extremely dangerous manner, putting the lives of other motorists at serious risk. This kind of reckless driving can lead to fatal accidents. Kindly take strict and immediate action to ensure public safety."

The clip triggered strong reactions online, with several users demanding immediate police intervention. Many pointed out that such behaviour has become increasingly common on Delhi roads, while others questioned the apparent lack of fear of law enforcement among traffic violators.

Responding to the post, the Delhi Traffic Police acknowledged the complaint and asked the user to formally report the incident for further action. In a subsequent message, the traffic police said the complainant could also contact the nearest police station or dial 112 for immediate assistance.

A senior police officer said the footage is being examined to verify the vehicles and identify the individuals involved, adding that appropriate action will be taken as per the law after verification.
