‘Country's biggest gangster is made their son-in-law’: Kejriwal slams Centre after firing on Tiger Shroff

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal sharply criticised the central government on Sunday over a shooting incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff, raising severe concerns regarding its management of law and order and public safety.
Writing on X, Kejriwal alleged that central authorities had provided logistical state backing to a prominent criminal figure to execute illegal operations.
“They can't even manage law and order in their own states. They've made the country's biggest gangster their son-in-law (Lawrence Bishnoi) and given him every facility to commit crimes not just in India but all over the world,” Kejriwal stated.

Kejriwal warned voters that backing the ruling party would effectively introduce criminal elements into Punjab.
“And tomorrow these people will come to Punjab to lecture on law and order. The people of Punjab know that voting for them would be like inviting their son-in-law to Punjab,” he added.

According to law enforcement officials, three to four gunshots were discharged at the actor's vehicle as he was departing an open ground. A substantial crowd had assembled at the site to view the star when shots were fired from within the gathering.
The actor escaped unharmed, while police continue their inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the attack. Two individuals suffered injuries during the shooting, including Tiger Shroff's personal chauffeur, Firdaus, who sustained a gunshot wound to his left arm.
Eyewitness Rakesh Kumar, an autorickshaw driver, detailed the sequence of events while speaking to reporters.
"I drive a rickshaw here in Mumbai... I arrived around 7:00 PM to take my vehicle out... There were three individuals involved: one was on a motorcycle, while two others were standing outside - one near the gate, and another positioned slightly ahead of it. When the shooting began, one person opened fire from the front, targeting the specific seat where Tiger Shroff was sitting... another person, the one near the gate, fired a shot that struck the driver in the hand. It happened around 7:00 PM...," Rakesh shared.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Police have constituted 15 specialised investigative teams to probe the incident.
A criminal case has been registered against three unidentified suspects regarding the gun attack targeting the Bollywood actor, son of veteran performer Jackie Shroff.
A First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged under Sections 109(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), alongside Sections 3 and 25 of the Arms Act, according to Mumbai Police.
An extensive police search remains underway to ascertain the identities of the perpetrators, with additional disclosures expected.
