Leaked document reveals Saif Ali Khan’s insurance claim, expected discharge date

Mumbai: A health insurance claim document allegedly belonging to Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was leaked on X following an attack at his Bandra residence on Thursday.
The document, which has been widely circulated by users, includes personal and medical details, such as a treatment estimate of ₹35,95,700, with the actor currently recovering at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital. It also reveals that the insurance company had approved ₹25,00,000 as an initial amount for treatments.
According to Mint, a 'cashless pre-authorisation request' was submitted to the insurance company upon Khan's hospitalization, and an initial amount has been approved to commence treatment.
The tragic incident happened in the early hours of Thursday when an intruder attacked Khan at his Bandra West apartment. The assailant confronted Khan’s maid, which escalated into a violent confrontation. The actor sustained multiple stab wounds and was rushed to the hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery.
Doctors have reported that Khan, who is recovering in a suite at Lilavati Hospital, is now "out of danger" but will continue to be monitored closely. His expected discharge date is January 21, according to the leaked document.
Meanwhile, police nabbed a suspect from a train in Chattisgarg in connection with the incident. He is taken into custody by the team of Mumbai Police on Saturday evening.
According to the IG of RPF SECR Zone Bilaspur, Munawar Khursheed, RPF Raipur division had received information from the Mumbai police about the suspect travelling from the train.
"The Raipur division of RPF received information from the Mumbai police that a suspect involved in the attack on actor Saif Ali Khan was travelling by the Jnaneswari Express train. The suspect, named Aakash Kanojia, aged 32-33 years, was detained from Durg. He will be handed over to Mumbai police, who will carry out the further investigation," Khursheed told ANI.
Providing further details, the RPF in-charge at Durg, Sanjay Sinha, said after the suspect was held, the RPF contacted the Mumbai Police officials through a video call, to confirm his identity.
