New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of remaining silent on serious issues while questioning the Opposition’s role in Parliament.

Taking to social media platform X, Rahul Gandhi shared a video message responding to a jibe from the Prime Minister about the Congress party not speaking up in Parliament.

In the video post, Gandhi said, “Modi ji, do you talk about shame? Let me tell you what shame is.”

He alleged that the Prime Minister’s name, along with that of a Union minister and a business associate, had appeared in the “Epstein files,” and described the alleged linkage as “shameful.”

Gandhi also criticised the government’s trade agreement with the United States, claiming that national interests had been compromised.

“The trade deal you've made with America, in which you've sold out the country—this is shameful,” he said.

The Congress leader further accused the government of mishandling key economic sectors.

“You've handed over our country's data. You've wiped out the farmers. You've ruined the textile industry—this is shameful,” Gandhi stated.

He also referred to the ongoing case against industrialist Gautam Adani in the United States, alleging that the matter had political implications.

“The entire country knows that the ongoing case against Adani in America has kept you up at night—because it's a case against the BJP and your financial architecture,” he said.

Gandhi claimed that no action had been taken in the matter for over 14 months and questioned the government’s silence.

In a strongly worded closing statement, Gandhi said, “Modi ji, you do whatever you deem appropriate for your friends Anil Ambani, Adani, and yourself. I and the lion-hearted warriors of the Congress Party will continue to defend the country, we won't retreat even an inch.”
