‘When it comes to party, Nitin Nabin is the boss and I am a worker’: PM Modi | WATCH

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday congratulated Nitin Nabin after he assumed charge as the new National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), while highlighting the party’s organisational discipline and long-term vision.
Speaking at the ‘Sangathan Parv’ program held at the BJP headquarters in the national capital, the Prime Minister addressed party leaders and workers and reflected on the importance of internal strength and collective responsibility within the organisation.
Referring to party discipline and commitment, the Prime Minister said, “When it is about the party, Nitin Nabin is the boss, and I am a party worker.”
"Now, honourable Nitin Nabin ji is the president of all of us, and his responsibility is not just to manage the BJP, but also to ensure coordination among all NDA allies," the prime minister said.
Continuing his remarks, PM Modi spoke about the coming decades and the responsibility the BJP carries during this period. He stressed that the next phase would shape the country’s future and placed confidence in the new president’s ability to guide the organisation forward.
Highlighting this larger national goal, he said, “The next 25 years are very important. This is the period when a developed India is to be built, and it is destined to happen. At the beginning of this crucial period, our Nitin Nabin ji will carry forward the legacy of the BJP.”
The Prime Minister also spoke about generational change and how leadership must adapt to evolving times.
Describing this transition, PM Modi said, “To put it in the language of today's youth, Nitin ji himself is, in a way, a millennial. He belongs to the generation that has witnessed major economic, social, and technological transformations in India. He belongs to the generation that received information from the radio in their childhood and is now an active user of AI.”
Emphasising the balance between energy and experience, the Prime Minister said the party president’s background would help strengthen organisational work across levels.
PM Modi added, “Nitin ji possesses both youthful energy and extensive experience in organisational work. This will be very beneficial for every worker of our party.”
The prime minister said under the leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Lal Krishna Advani and Murali Manohar Joshi, the BJP saw a journey from zero to the summit.
"In this century, leaders like M Venkaiah Naidu and Nitin Gadkari, along with many of our senior colleagues, expanded the organisation. Under the leadership of Rajnath ji, for the first time, the BJP achieved a full majority on its own," Modi said.
"Then, under the leadership of Amit Shah, the BJP formed governments in many states and came to power at the Centre for a second consecutive term. Under the leadership of J P Nadda, the BJP grew stronger from the panchayat to Parliament," Modi said.
