PM-Kisan 22nd installment out today: Check release time, new beneficiary list & e-KYC steps

Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to release the 22nd installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme today, Friday, March 13, 2026.

From the heart of Guwahati, the Prime Minister will trigger the digital transfer of more than ₹18,640 crore at 5:00 pm, reaching the bank accounts of over 9.32 crore farmer families via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

This latest disbursement marks a massive scale-up since the scheme's inception in 2019. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan noted that with today’s payout, the total financial aid provided under the scheme will reach a staggering ₹4.27 lakh crore.

Notably, this installment places a strong emphasis on gender inclusivity, with over 2.15 crore women farmers set to receive their ₹2,000 credit today.

Eligibility and exclusions: Who gets paid?

While the government remains committed to supporting farmers, strict verification protocols have been implemented to ensure transparency. Certain "suspected cases" have been temporarily withheld pending physical verification.

You may be excluded if:

• Land was acquired after February 1, 2019 (excluding inheritance)
• Multiple family members (e.g., both husband and wife) are claiming the benefit
• The applicant is a current/former government employee, an income tax payer, or a professional (Doctor, Engineer, CA).

Face authentication & e-KYC

To simplify the process for elderly farmers and those in remote areas, the government has launched a face-authentication-based mobile app. This allows farmers to complete their mandatory e-KYC from home without needing a fingerprint scanner or an OTP.

How to check your payment status

If you are expecting a credit today, you can verify your status through the ‘Know Your Status’ (KYS) module on the official portal.

• Visit the Portal: Go to pmkisan.gov.in
• Scroll down to the 'Farmers Corner' and click on 'Beneficiary List'
• Select your State, District, Sub-district, Block, and Village
• Click 'Get Report' to see if your name is approved for the 22nd installment

Why is my payment pending?

If your name is on the list but the funds do not arrive, check your Land Seeding and Aadhaar-Bank Account Linking status on the portal immediately. These are the two most common reasons for payment failures in 2026.
