‘Not here for tickets, just justice’: Pawan Singh's wife Jyoti Singh meets Prashant Kishor | VIDEO

Patna: Jyoti Singh, the wife of Bhojpuri actor and politician Pawan Singh, met Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor in Patna on Friday, stressing that her visit was not political in nature but focused on justice and women’s rights.
Amid growing speculation that she may enter politics following her public fallout with her husband, Jyoti Singh clarified that there were no discussions about elections or contesting the upcoming Bihar Assembly polls during her meeting with Kishor.
Why did Jyoti Singh meet Prashant Kishor?
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Jyoti Singh made it clear that her motive was to raise her voice against the injustice she had faced and to advocate for women who may be suffering silently in Bihar.
"I did not come here to contest the election or seek a ticket, I came here to ensure that no other woman has to face the injustice I faced... I want to be the voice of all such women. So I met Prashant bhaiya. There was no discussion on elections or tickets. I have come here just for all those women...," she said.
She added that her priority is fighting for justice and empowering women, not political ambition.
Prashant Kishor also addressed reporters, stating that Jyoti Singh had approached him as a concerned citizen and woman of Bihar, not as a political aspirant.
"Jyoti ji came here as a Bihari, as a woman...We listened to her. First, she has not said anything about contesting the election. I felt that contesting the election or getting a ticket was not her motive. In her own words, she is facing a grave injustice. She wants what happened to her should not happen to any other woman in Bihar," Kishor said.
While making it clear that he would not intervene in her personal matters, Kishor said he would support her safety and her right to speak out, stating, "She wants help from Jan Suraaj. I have told her that Prashant Kishor can have no role in her family matters, but I have told her that she need not be scared as far as her safety or democratic values are concerned..., Jan Suraaj will be with her, she should fight in a lawful manner"
Kishor also acknowledged his personal ties with Pawan Singh but reiterated that his meeting with Jyoti Singh was part of his social responsibility.
Is Jyoti Singh eyeing Karakat seat?
Interestingly, a day before the meeting, Jyoti Singh had expressed interest in contesting from the Karakat Lok Sabha seat, alleging that her husband Pawan Singh had not visited the constituency since his defeat in the 2024 elections.
Her remarks sparked political buzz, especially as the Bihar Assembly elections draw near.
