Mumbai: A 20-year-old man from Noida has been arrested for allegedly issuing death threats to Bollywood actor Salman Khan and Zeeshan Siddiqui, the son of late Baba Siddique, who was tragically shot dead on October 12. The suspect, Gufran Khan, is currently in the custody of the Mumbai Police and has been placed on a transit remand.

According to police sources, Zeeshan Siddiqui's office in Bandra received threatening messages on Friday, demanding a ransom while targeting both him and Salman Khan. Following this, a staff member at Siddiqui's office filed a police complaint, leading to the registration of an FIR. The investigation quickly identified Mohammed Tayyab as the person responsible for the threats, resulting in his arrest.

Earlier, the Mumbai Police had apprehended 24-year-old Shaikh Hussain Shaikh Mausin, a vegetable seller from Jamshedpur, in connection with a separate threat message that was sent to the Mumbai traffic police's WhatsApp helpline. This message demanded a ransom of ₹5 crore.

Earlier Baba Siddique, a former MLA and leader in the NCP (Ajit Pawar faction), who was known to have close ties with Salman Khan was murdered. Reports indicate that Baba Siddique had received death threats just days prior to his assassination, making the recent threats against his son particularly alarming.
