‘No Muslims in gym’ remark by MP cop sparks row; BJP leader vows crackdown on ‘love jihad’

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: A Madhya Pradesh police officer has been removed from active duty after a video surfaced in which he was seen instructing a gym owner to prohibit the entry of Muslim individuals. The video has sparked sharp criticism and political debate.
In the viral video, Sub-Inspector Dinesh Sharma of the Ayodhya Nagar police station in Bhopal is seen sitting alongside Bajrang Dal members inside a private gym and is heard telling the owner, "Let me tell you clearly, no Muslim will come here – neither for giving training nor for receiving it."
The episode reportedly happened several days ago when Bajrang Dal activists confronted the gym management, objecting to the presence of Muslim trainers. Police were called to handle the situation, during which the controversial remarks were captured on camera.
Reacting to the development, BJP MP Alok Sharma said, “There are several gyms in Bhopal where Muslim trainers work. Even women are training under them. We are preparing a list of such gyms to hand over to the police. Nobody will be allowed to carry out love jihad anymore. Even land jihad is happening. This won’t be tolerated. The law will take its course.”
