Nitish Kumar set to swear in as Bihar CM for 10th term on November 20

Patna: JD(U) supremo Nitish Kumar will take oath as Bihar Chief Minister for a record 10th term at Gandhi Maidan, Patna, on Thursday, November 20. Ahead of the ceremony, Kumar is set to be elected as the leader of the JD(U) legislature party and then as the NDA leader, following a meeting of the five-party alliance.
Speaking to PTI, JD(U) working national president Sanjay Jha said, Kumar will meet Governor Arif Mohammad Khan on Wednesday evening to initiate the formation of the new government. He will also submit letters of support from all NDA constituents.
The current Bihar assembly will be dissolved on Wednesday. According to NDTV reports, during the oath-taking ceremony, 22 ministers are expected to join Kumar, including:
BJP: Samrat Choudhary, Vijay Sinha, Nitin Navin, Renu Devi, Mangal Pandey, Neeraj Bablu, Sanjay Sarawagi, Hari Sahni, Rajnish Kumar
JD(U): 10 MLAs
Other allies: One each from LJP (Ram Vilas), HAM, and RLM
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, several union ministers, and CMs from NDA-ruled states are expected to attend. Tight security arrangements have been made in Patna and around Gandhi Maidan.
NDA returned to power in Bihar with 202 seats out of 243, including BJP 89, JD(U) 85, LJP(RV) 19, HAM 5, and RLM 4, ensuring a strong mandate for the new government.
