Madras HC dismisses MK Stalin’s plea challenging TVK MLA VS Babu’s Kolathur victory

Chennai: The Madras High Court on Thursday dismissed as not maintainable a plea filed by DMK president MK Stalin seeking to nullify the election victory of TVK MLA VS Babu from the Kolathur Assembly constituency.

Stalin had approached the court citing alleged discrepancies involving VVPAT slips during the post-counting verification process and sought to challenge Babu's victory. The court, however, dismissed the petition on grounds of maintainability.
