Content creator Kavya Karnatac, popularly known as KK Create, was reportedly detained in Delhi ahead of the Cockroach Janta Party's (CJP) planned protest at Jantar Mantar on October 10, 2026.

Content creator Kavya Karnatac, known for her YouTube channel KK Create, was detained in Dhaula Kuan along with other activists on Saturday, October 10, ahead of the Cockroach Janta Party’s (CJP) proposed protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.

The detention came amid heightened security across the national capital, with police moving to prevent the gathering after denying permission for the demonstration.

Karnatac, who uses the Instagram handle ‘kk.create’, was reportedly taken into a police bus near Dhaula Kuan with several other women.

CJP legal affairs head Ratna Singh and YouTuber Dhruv Rathee were also among those detained ahead of the planned protest.

The CJP had called for a demonstration at Jantar Mantar demanding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar's resignation over alleged irregularities in electoral rolls and concerns about the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise.

The party has accused the authorities of attempting to suppress democratic dissent. Following Rathee’s detention, the CJP condemned the police action and demanded the immediate release of those detained.

The party made these allegations, while police cited public order and safety concerns in denying permission for the proposed gathering.

Security tightened across Delhi

Delhi saw extensive security arrangements ahead of the protest, including barricades, police deployments, and movement restrictions in several areas. Entry and exit gates at 45 metro stations were scheduled to remain closed until 6 pm on Saturday, while traffic diversions and restrictions on mobile internet services were also reported around sensitive locations.

The proposed demonstration aimed to raise concerns over electoral roll revisions and demand accountability from the Election Commission. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and other party leaders were also detained after arriving at Delhi airport, as police continued action against people travelling to participate in the protest.

The situation continued to develop on Saturday, with reports of detentions emerging from multiple parts of Delhi and the National Capital Region.
