Jaipur: A chilling video from Jaipur has gone viral, showing a driverless car engulfed in flames moving on its own on Ajmer Road here.

The incident, which unfolded on Saturday, left onlookers stunned as the blazing vehicle sped forward without anyone inside, forcing bikers and passersby to dodge its path. The car finally came to a halt after colliding with a road divider.

The unusual scene happened when Jitendra Jangid, the car driver, noticed smoke coming from the AC vent while driving. Realizing something was wrong, he pulled over to inspect the vehicle. After consulting his brother over the phone, Jangid was advised to open the bonnet to investigate the issue. It was then that he discovered the engine had already caught fire.

Fortunately, Jangid had already exited the vehicle when the fire intensified. Moments after stepping out, the flames engulfed the car, which then began moving on its own.

The fire, believed to have caused the car's handbrake to fail, resulted in the driverless vehicle rolling down the road as horrified bystanders watched. Bikers in the area were seen swerving to avoid the flaming car, which only came to a stop after hitting the divider.

Firefighters were immediately alerted and rushed to the scene to douse the flames, but by the time they arrived, the car had already been gutted.

The viral video has since sparked widespread curiosity, with many dubbing the flaming, driverless vehicle as Jaipur’s 'ghost rider.'
