Is Reliance Jio down? Network outage hits users across multiple states

Thousands of Reliance Jio users across several states experienced network disruptions on Thursday, leaving many unable to make calls or access mobile internet. Outage tracker Downdetector recorded over 6,890 complaints, with 67% reporting no signal, 16% citing mobile data issues, and another 17% experiencing a complete blackout, as of 4:02 pm.

Meanwhile, Jio officials stated that the issues reported in the eastern parts of the country have been resolved.

Rival telecom provider Airtel also faced minor disruptions, with over 100 outage reports on Downdetector. However, these issues appeared limited and were not widespread.

Users took to X (formerly Twitter) to express frustration over the interruptions, sharing their experiences and concerns online.

A user wrote, “Jio is facing a major outage — really disappointing experience.I found out that Jio services are completely down in West Bengal, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar as well. There’s absolutely no network. Jio team, please fix this issue as soon as possible.”

Meanwhile, another user said, “Jio network is down! I’ve restarted my phone multiple times, but it still shows no service.”
