Infosys Co-Founder Kris Gopalakrishnan among 18 booked under SC/ST Act in Bengaluru

A case has been filed against Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan, former IISc Director Balaram, and 16 others under the Prevention of SC/ST Atrocities Act, following a court directive in Bengaluru.
On Monday, a case was registered at the Sadashiva Nagar police station in Bengaluru after the 71st City Civil and Sessions Court issued directions to take action under the SC/ST Atrocities Act.
The complainant, Durgappa, a faculty member from the Centre for Sustainable Technology at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), alleges that in 2014, he was falsely implicated in a honey trap case and subsequently dismissed from his position. He claims that during this period, he was subjected to caste-based abuse and threats.
More accused in case
In addition to Gopalakrishnan and Balaram, 16 other individuals are accused in the case. These include Govindan Rangarajan, Sridhar Warrier, Sandya Vishwswaraih, Hari K V S, Dasappa, Hemalata Mhishi, Chattopadyaya K, Pradeep D Sawkar, and Manoharan.
There has been no immediate response from the accused, including Kris Gopalakrishnan, who also serves as a member of the IISc Board of Trustees.
