Infiltration bid foiled: Indian Army opens fire at LoC in JK’s Rajouri

Jammu: Indian Army troops opened fire early on Tuesday to stop suspected terrorists from crossing the Line of Control in Rajouri district, according to military officials.
Personnel guarding the border spotted the individuals attempting to infiltrate into Indian territory from the Turkandi forward area at approximately 4:15 a.m. Officials stated that soldiers engaged the suspects with gunfire to prevent the breach.
Following the encounter, additional military reinforcements were deployed to the sector, and a comprehensive search operation is currently being conducted in the rugged terrain.
The incident follows a similar confrontation on Feb. 19-20, when the army successfully blocked an infiltration attempt in the Sunderbani sector of Rajouri. That operation resulted in the recovery of a cache of weapons and ammunition.
