Lawrence Bishnoi aide Jagdeep ‘Jagga’ Singh, linked to Rohit Godara network, arrested in US

Jaipur: A notorious gangster wanted in multiple criminal cases across Rajasthan and Punjab has been arrested in the United States, officials confirmed on Monday.
Jagdeep Singh, alias Jagga, a close aide of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and currently linked to the Rohit Godara network, was detained near the US–Canada border. Legal proceedings are now underway to extradite him to India, police said.
The arrest follows a coordinated operation led by the Rajasthan Police’s Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) in collaboration with national and international enforcement agencies.
According to officials, Jagga, a native of Dhurokot village in Punjab’s Moga district, had been directing criminal operations in India from abroad. He had successfully evaded arrest for several years while maintaining an extensive international network.
ADG (AGTF) Dinesh M.N. said that arrest warrants had been issued against Jagga by courts in Rajasthan. “Acting on the warrants, the AGTF gathered intelligence on his overseas movements and coordinated with international enforcement agencies,” he said.
“Following these efforts, US authorities detained him near the Canada–US border,” he added.
Jagga remains in custody in the United States as the legal process to extradite him to India continues.
