Delhi-NCR feels earthquake tremors after 4.9-magnitude quake hits Uttarakhand

New Delhi: Earthquake tremors were felt across the Delhi-NCR region on Tuesday night after a 4.9-magnitude earthquake struck Chamoli in Uttarakhand, according to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).
The earthquake was recorded at 10:22 pm IST, with its epicentre located in Chamoli, Uttarakhand. Tremors from the quake were felt in parts of the Delhi-NCR region.
Details on any damage or casualties are yet to emerge.
Earlier on Tuesday, another earthquake was reported from Assam. The NCS said a 4.5-magnitude earthquake hit Nagaon district in the early hours of the day.
The tremor was recorded at 4:23:47 am IST, at a depth of 33 kilometres.
According to the NCS, the earthquake was centred at 26.428° North latitude and 93.060° East longitude.
The two earthquakes were reported by the National Centre for Seismology on Tuesday.
