Commercial LPG prices hiked: How much will a 19-kg cylinder cost now?

New Delhi: Prices of commercial liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) were increased by Rs 195.50 on Wednesday, following a surge in global oil prices linked to the escalating conflict in West Asia.

A 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder now costs Rs 2,078.50 in Delhi, according to state-owned oil companies. The previous hike of Rs 114.50 per 19-kg cylinder was implemented on 1 March.

Domestic cooking gas LPG prices, which were last raised by Rs 60 per 14.2-kg cylinder on 7 March, remain unchanged at Rs 913 per cylinder in Delhi.

State-owned companies — Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum — revise aviation turbine fuel (ATF) and LPG rates on the first day of each month, based on international oil benchmarks and the current exchange rate.

Global crude prices have surged by almost 50% following the West Asia conflict, which has disrupted energy supply chains. Petrol and diesel prices in India remain frozen after a Rs 2 per litre reduction in March last year, with petrol currently priced at Rs 94.72 per litre and diesel at Rs 87.62 per litre in Delhi.
