Chennai on yellow alert for rain; weather to shift from heavy showers to clear skies

Chennai: Residents of Chennai can expect light to moderate rain on Saturday, January 24, with heavy showers in some areas. The IMD has also issued alerts for nearby districts, including Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, Thanjavur, as well as Puducherry and the Karaikal region.
