‘Character assassination!’ Telugu anchor Vishnu Priya Bhimineni rushes to cops over vile trolling

Telugu anchor and actress Vishnu Priya Bhimineni has filed a complaint with the Miyapur police in Hyderabad, alleging online harassment and defamatory trolling on social media platforms.

According to her complaint submitted on Friday, unidentified individuals have allegedly been targeting her through abusive posts and objectionable comments on Instagram and other platforms over the past few days.

Vishnu Priya claimed that false and defamatory content was being circulated online with the intent to damage her reputation and malign her image publicly.

Seeking strict action against those behind the alleged trolling campaign, the actress-anchor submitted a written complaint requesting an investigation into the matter.

Police officials confirmed that the complaint has been received and said they are currently examining the social media accounts linked to the alleged harassment.

Authorities added that further action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation and available evidence.
