Mumbai police trace CCTV visuals of intruder in Saif Ali Khan stabbing case

Mumbai police have traced CCTV visuals of the unidentified intruder who repeatedly stabbed Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan at his Bandra residence early Thursday morning. The police have formed ten teams to investigate the attack, which occurred around 2.30 am.  

According to initial investigations, the intruder did not forcibly break into Khan's flat on the 12th floor of the Satguru Sharan building. It is believed that the attacker may have sneaked into the apartment at some point earlier in the night. Following the violent altercation, the intruder used the staircase to flee the scene. CCTV footage has identified the intruder on the sixth floor of the building, police sources confirmed.

Khan's house-help, who was the first to raise the alarm, sustained minor knife injuries during the scuffle. She later went to the police station to file a complaint of attempted murder and trespassing. However, the police have not yet confirmed the specific charges under which the First Information Report (FIR) has been registered.

In a statement issued by Khan's representatives, the incident was described as an "attempted burglary." 

The actor, who was rushed to Lilavati Hospital following the attack, underwent surgery to remove a 2.5-inch knife that had been lodged in his back. Doctors at the hospital confirmed that Khan is now out of danger and is stable following the surgery.
