New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unveiled Part II of its Sankalp Patra on Tuesday, announcing a slew of ambitious promises aimed at students and marginalized communities ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections. The manifesto, presented by former Union Minister Anurag Thakur, includes free education from Kindergarten (KG) to Post-graduation (PG) and a ₹1,000 monthly stipend for students from the Scheduled Caste (SC) community.

Key Promises in Part II of Sankalp Patra

1. Free Education from KG to PG
The BJP pledged to provide free education for all children, covering every level from kindergarten to post-graduation. This promise aims to ensure accessible and affordable education for all sections of society.

2. ₹1,000 Stipend for SC Students
Drawing inspiration from the Gujarat model, the BJP announced a ₹1,000 monthly stipend for SC students enrolled in technical education programs such as ITI and polytechnic courses.

3. Financial Assistance for Competitive Exam Aspirants
A one-time assistance of ₹15,000 will be provided to students preparing for competitive examinations, including UPSC, to support their aspirations.

4. Skill Training for Youth
The BJP plans to roll out a skill training program targeting over 1.5 lakh youth, enhancing their employability and career prospects.

5. Support for Domestic Workers
The manifesto also includes the formation of a welfare board for domestic workers, offering benefits such as ₹10 lakh life insurance, ₹5 lakh accident insurance, scholarships for their children, and six months of paid maternity leave.

6. Doubling PM SWANidhi Yojana Beneficiaries
The BJP promised to double the number of beneficiaries under the PM SWANidhi Yojana, providing additional support to street vendors.

During the announcement, Anurag Thakur criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, accusing it of betraying Delhi residents and failing to deliver on its promises. He highlighted incidents such as the drowning of UPSC aspirants in a coaching center, alleging negligence by the city administration.

The first part of the BJP’s manifesto focused on women, including monetary assistance schemes like ₹21,000 aid for pregnant women, reflecting the party’s commitment to gender welfare.

Delhi will go to polls on February 5, with results set to be declared on February 8. BJP’s Sankalp Patra, backed by "Modi ki guarantee," promises a time-bound rollout of these initiatives, positioning the party as a strong contender in the upcoming elections.
