Bihar gears up for Phase 1 polls; PM Modi, Kharge, Yogi, Priyanka to hold rallies today

Patna: Bihar is bracing for the first phase of its 2025 assembly elections, scheduled for November 6. According to the Election Commission of India (ECI), polling will be conducted in two phases — the first covering 121 constituencies and the second, set for November 11, covering the remaining 122. Counting of votes and declaration of results are scheduled for November 14.
With just days to go before the polls, the political temperature in Bihar is rising. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are among the key leaders scheduled to hold campaign rallies across the state on Monday.
Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will also address multiple public meetings as part of her party’s campaign strategy. The rallies are expected to draw large crowds as parties push for final momentum before Phase 1 voting.
The Election Commission has completed preparations for the first phase of polling, with security measures and logistical arrangements in place across all 121 constituencies.
The outcome of the Bihar assembly polls will play a crucial role in shaping the state’s political landscape, with alliances and party leaders intensifying efforts to secure voter confidence ahead of the November 6 election day.
