Delhi: A social media influencer, Ratan Ranjan, dressed as Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, visited the BJP headquarters in Delhi carrying an Arrow (JDU symbol) and a Lantern (RJD symbol) to highlight political contrasts.

“I belong to Vaishali in Bihar. We have seen the era when there was 'Lalten Sarkar' there. The development that has taken place there - there is a vast difference between then and now...People of Bihar have voted for development...Mahagathbandhan's ideology is anti-Sanatana. So, our ideology doesn't align with them,” Ranjan said.

NDA leading in Bihar assembly elections

Election trends indicate that the renewed alliance between the Janata Dal (United) and the Bharatiya Janata Party, boosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nationwide popularity, is steering the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) toward a commanding mandate in the 243-seat Bihar assembly.

The Nitish Kumar-led NDA has secured a combined total of 196 seats, with the BJP leading in 88, JD(U) in 79, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) in 21, Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) in 4, and Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLM) in 4, according to Election Commission data at 12:50 pm.

Meanwhile, the Mahagathbandhan is trailing, with the RJD leading in 31 seats, Congress in 4, CPI(ML) in 5, CPI-M in 1, and VIP in none. Additionally, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leads in one seat and AIMIM in five.

The results underline the electorate’s tilt toward development-focused politics and the enduring strength of the NDA in Bihar.
