WATCH | Bihar bike rally: Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Yadav and kiss that stole the show

Patna: During the ongoing Voter Adhikar Yatra in Bihar, a highly unusual incident captured widespread attention when a man suddenly kissed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during a motorcycle rally in Purnea on August 24, 2025, and quickly ran away. The man was seen being slapped by bystanders immediately afterwards.
Rahul Gandhi, riding a bullet motorcycle alongside Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Tejashwi Yadav, was traversing the streets as part of the yatra, which aims to raise voter awareness and protest alleged manipulation in electoral rolls during the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR). The rally has covered more than 20 districts and over 1,300 kilometres since launching on August 17 from Sasaram.
This bike rally aims to be a show of power and opposition unity ahead of Bihar’s upcoming assembly elections, with both leaders seeking to mobilise voters against the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The yatra has drawn large crowds and supporters, with Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav engaging directly with residents on the grassroots level.
Rahul Gandhi also addressed a rally in Katihar district as part of the yatra, accusing the BJP government of attempting to steal votes through the Special Intensive Revision process and criticising its stance on social justice.
Tejashwi Yadav has voiced strong support for Rahul Gandhi’s leadership, urging voters to “root out NDA” and make Rahul Gandhi the next Prime Minister of India.
