Indian Army busts terrorist hideout in Kulgam, recovers explosive material | WATCH

Kulgam: In a major security operation, the Indian Army successfully busted a terrorist hideout in the Brinal forest area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday. According to official sources, the hideout was destroyed using controlled blasts. Various materials, including a gas cylinder, were recovered from the site. The search operation in the area is currently ongoing, with further details awaited from security agencies.

Previous Encounter in Seoj Dhar

Earlier, on September 20, an encounter broke out in the Seoj Dhar area, located on the border between Bhaderwah and Udhampur districts. The encounter began around 8 p.m. when alert troops of the White Knight Corps established contact with a group of terrorists in the region. The ongoing operation involves joint teams from the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police and Indian Army personnel.

Jammu Inspector General of Police Anand Jain confirmed the encounter on social media, stating, “On actionable intelligence, contact was established with terrorists at Seoj Dhar. Encounter in progress. Joint teams of SOG-JKP and Indian Army are on the ground”.

Security Efforts Continue in Kashmir

This latest operation is part of a continuing effort by Indian security forces to neutralise terrorist networks in Jammu and Kashmir. The region has seen multiple joint anti-terror operations involving the Army, CRPF, and Jammu and Kashmir Police, focusing on shutting down terrorist hideouts and eliminating militants to restore peace and stability.

Authorities continue to monitor and conduct search operations in sensitive areas while urging the public to report suspicious activities to aid security efforts.
