Female doctor attacked with scissors, hospital vandalised; two arrested in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: The Pangod police arrested two people who attacked a female doctor and vandalised a community health centre on Monday.
The incident took place around 11:35 pm. The arrested individuals are Arun (35) and Shyam Nair (43).
The accused had arrived at the health centre for Arun’s head injury treatment. The situation escalated when the female doctor on duty asked them to obtain an OP ticket, prompting Arun to verbally abuse and threaten her.
While the doctor and nurses were treating his wound, Shyam Nair forcefully entered the room and began recording a video. When the medical staff objected, both accused verbally abused the doctor and nurses.
Arun later entered the injection room and allegedly attempted to stab the doctor with scissors. They also vandalized hospital supplies, including medicines. The matter was later brought to the attention of the Pangod police.
The police swiftly responded to the incident, arriving at the health center and arresting the accused. Based on the doctor's complaint, a case was registered, and the suspects were produced in court before being remanded.
