Sharon was a slave to love, continued loving Greeshma even on deathbed: Kerala court

Thiruvananthapuram: During the pronouncement of Greeshma’s death penalty verdict, the court stated that Sharon was a slave to love and continued to love Greeshma even on his deathbed, despite the betrayal he faced. The court dismissed Greeshma’s claims of being provoked as well.
Sharon’s last moments: Loyalty amid betrayal
The court found that Sharon had been in a physically intimate relationship with Greeshma, a fact that was proven during the trial. The issue of whether Sharon had filed any formal complaints was deemed irrelevant. Even as Sharon lay dying after being poisoned by Greeshma, he continued to call her 'vaava,' the term of endearment he had always used, demonstrating his deep emotional attachment to her despite the betrayal. Sharon was unable to drink water for 11 days after the poisoning, yet his affection for Greeshma remained unwavering.
Greeshma’s actions, court’s observations
The court ruled that Greeshma's actions, including poisoning Sharon, were unprovoked. Greeshma called up Sharon, promising to be intimate with him, and the murder was committed without any provocation. Despite her claims of being beaten by Sharon, the court rejected her defense as false. The court also noted that Greeshma’s attempt to act innocent until the last moment did not work in her favor, as the evidence of betrayal and the nature of her crime were clear.
