Marathi lead actress among two rescued as Mumbai Police busts alleged prostitution racket

Mumbai: Mumbai Police have busted an alleged prostitution racket operating from a hotel in the city's Girgaon area, IANS reported on Saturday.
According to police, the rescue operation was carried out following a tip-off about illegal activities at the hotel.
During the raid, officers rescued two women, one reportedly a lead actress in Marathi films and another who has appeared in Bengali films and Bollywood in cameo roles.
Police also arrested a man accused of acting as a pimp. Investigators said the accused is a makeup artist who allegedly has links with several celebrities and is suspected of facilitating the racket.
Further investigation is underway.
