Jharkhand shocker: Minor girl crushed to death with stone in Hazaribagh

Hazaribagh: An 11-year-old girl was allegedly murdered in the Vishnugarh police station area of Jharkhand’s Hazaribagh district, with investigators suspecting that a stone was used in the killing.
The body of the child was found on Wednesday near a bamboo grove, around 500 metres from her village. Police said the body bore severe injuries, indicating a brutal assault.
According to officials, the girl had gone to watch a Ram Navami procession on Tuesday evening but did not return home. Her family launched a search, but she remained untraceable through the night.
The body was discovered the next morning by villagers who had gone out to collect mahua. Police reached the spot, took custody of the body and sent it for post-mortem examination.
Preliminary findings suggest the possibility of sexual assault, though police said all angles are being investigated. A dog squad and forensic team have been deployed to gather evidence from the scene.
The incident has triggered outrage in the area, with residents demanding swift action. Police said some suspects have been detained for questioning and assured that those responsible will be identified and brought to justice.
