Sonakshi Sinha turns 39: From Dabangg debut to bollywood success

Born on June 2, 1987, in Patna, Sonakshi Sinha is the daughter of Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha. Before entering films, she studied fashion design and worked as a costume designer. Her acting debut in Dabangg opposite Salman Khan made her an overnight star and earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. She went on to feature in hits such as Rowdy Rathore, Son of Sardaar, and Dabangg 2, while earning praise for her performance in Lootera. She later appeared in films including Mission Mangal and the OTT series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. Beyond acting, Sonakshi advocates for body positivity, mental well-being, and animal welfare, receiving recognition from PETA India. She married Zaheer Iqbal in June 2024 and continues to expand her career with diverse roles.
