Kerala Assembly Elections 2026: Daleema Jojo bets big on development in Aroor
Aroor (Alappuzha): As the campaign for the 2026 Kerala Assembly elections gathers pace, LDF candidate and sitting MLA Daleema Jojo has underscored the development initiatives carried out in the Aroor constituency, expressing confidence in retaining the seat.
Speaking about the government’s performance, Daleema Jojo said, “This is not a government that deceives people. We are not making empty promises. This is a state that has gone through COVID, Nipah, cyclones, and floods. Even in such circumstances, no government in any period has carried out development works worth such massive amounts.”
Highlighting the scale of progress, she added, “If you look back 10 years, even 50 years, the scale of development happening now is many times higher than what was done before.”

She pointed to key infrastructure projects in the region, noting, “One of the major highlights here is the Kudappuram–Eramalloor bridge. The Perumbalam Bridge has been completed and opened at a cost of around ₹100 crore. It is one of the longest bridges in Kerala, stretching across the Vembanad lake. Many people are now coming to see it. It has become a major asset for this region.”
In the electoral contest in Aroor, Daleema Jojo struck a balanced tone, and she said , ’’I am proud to be the LDF candidate, especially under the leadership of the Pinarayi government. We have strong confidence that we will win, because a lot of development work has been carried out.
The others also have their own strengths, and they can move forward with those. For us, even if all three of us are contesting, it is like writing an exam. Beyond that, we are all human beings, like sisters.’’
