India vs Afghanistan 2nd ODI started with Afghanistan captain Hashmatullah Shahidi winning the toss and electing to bowl first in the crucial clash of the three-match ODI series on Wednesday. India entered the match with a 1-0 lead and made several changes to their playing XI.

One of the biggest talking points was the debut of fast bowler Prince Yadav, who earned his maiden India cap after an impressive IPL 2026 campaign with Lucknow Super Giants. India also brought back spinner Kuldeep Yadav and included Yashasvi Jaiswal in the lineup.

Meanwhile, all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy missed the match due to a sore left thigh.

Afghanistan also handed debut caps to Darwish Rasooli and Bilal Sami as they looked to bounce back in the series.
