The increasing presence of hornbills in and around Jim Corbett National Park is being viewed by wildlife experts as a strong sign of a thriving and well-preserved forest ecosystem.

Recognised for their striking appearance and large, curved bills, hornbills are among the most distinctive birds found in the wild. Their growing numbers in the park reflect the success of ongoing conservation efforts.

India is home to nearly 1,300 species of birds, and around 600 species have been recorded in and around Corbett, underlining the region’s remarkable avian diversity. Among these, hornbills continue to draw significant attention from birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts visiting the park.
