Ganga floods Bhagalpur university, forcing students onto boats

Rising waters from the Ganges have once again submerged large areas of Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University in Bihar, forcing students and staff to navigate inundated grounds and rely on unsafe boats to access key facilities.

The annual monsoon flooding has affected administrative blocks, hostels, and staff quarters, disrupting vital services for students arriving to collect degree certificates and official documentation.

Submerged walkways have left visitors with little choice but to wade through polluted water or pay for passage on precarious vessels, raising acute safety and hygiene concerns.
