The entertainment landscape has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years, with YouTube emerging as a leading platform for content creators around the globe. This trend is particularly pronounced in Kerala, where a large number of YouTube channels cater to a diverse and ever-growing audience. As digital content continues to provide both entertainment and income, an increasing number of individuals are venturing into the world of online video creation.

KL Bro Biju Rithvik, a family YouTube channel that has now risen to the top in terms of subscribers. The channel, helmed by Biju and featuring his mother, son Rithvik, wife, and daughter, has made history as the first in Kerala to reach one million subscribers. Now, after a long wait, this family has realized their dream of amassing fifty million subscribers (5.35 crore).

In a ceremony held in Delhi, YouTube officials presented the family with the Custom Creator Award, the second-most prestigious YouTube play button.

Reports indicate that YouTube channels with fifty million subscribers average one million views per video, with potential earnings ranging from Rs 40,000 to Rs 4 lakh per video. YouTube channels are awarded a total of five play buttons based on subscriber milestones: the Silver Button for 100,000 subscribers, the Golden Button for one million subscribers, the Diamond Play Button for ten million subscribers, the Custom Creator Award (or Ruby Creator Award) for fifty million subscribers, and the Red Diamond Creator Award for one hundred million subscribers.
