In the wake of 'Saiyaara'’s emotional climax, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s characters may have had their fairytale ending, but Shaan R Grover believes the story is far from over for his character, Mahesh Iyer.

In an exclusive interview with Zoom, Shaan opened up about the sequel speculation surrounding Mohit Suri’s romantic drama, which released globally on July 18. While acknowledging that Yash Raj Films and Mohit Suri hold the keys to any potential sequel, he didn’t shy away from suggesting the possibilities for his character’s reappearance.

“As far as my character is concerned, a lot can be done later. Mahesh just vanished; it was abrupt,” Shaan admitted. “What if Vaani wants to meet Mahesh one last time? That could open up a whole new arc for Krish.”

Currently, there’s no official word from YRF about 'Saiyaara' 2, but fan-generated AI images of Krish Kapoor (Ahaan) and Vaani Batra (Aneet) embracing parenthood have reignited hopes for a continuation.

BOX OFFICE COLLECTION:

Mohit Suri’s romantic drama 'Saiyaara' is turning out to be a box office juggernaut. Starring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the film has collected a staggering ₹153.25 crore (India net) within just six days of its release, as per early estimates.

The film opened with ₹21.25 crore on Day 1 and continued strong over the weekend, crossing ₹83 crore by Sunday. Despite a mid-week dip, the film maintained its momentum with consistent double-digit collections, raking in nearly ₹11 crore on Day 6 alone.

Backed by Yash Raj Films, 'Saiyaara' has become one of the fastest romantic films to cross the ₹150 crore mark in recent years—especially notable for being led by newcomers.

With positive word-of-mouth and strong music appeal, 'Saiyaara' is now eyeing the ₹200 crore club in the coming days, cementing its status as one of 2025’s biggest Bollywood successes.
