Mamitha Baiju starrer ‘Irandu Vaanam’ gets Kerala distributor; film set for October 23 release

Tamil romantic fantasy ‘Irandu Vaanam’, starring Mamitha Baiju and Vishnu Vishal, is set to reach cinemas worldwide on October 23. Binu George Alexander Productions has acquired the film’s Kerala distribution rights. 

Directed by Ram Kumar, the film brings Vishnu Vishal and Mamitha Baiju together for the first time. The story combines romance, fantasy and emotional elements, with the narrative centred on the characters played by the two leads.

Ram Kumar reunites with Vishnu Vishal

‘Irandu Vaanam’ marks Ram Kumar’s third film with Vishnu Vishal. The director and actor previously worked together on ‘Mundasupatti’ and ‘Ratsasan’, both of which received appreciation from audiences.

The new film is presented by TG Thyagarajan under the Sathya Jyothi Films banner and produced by Senthil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan.

Dhibu Ninan Thomas has composed the music, while Dinesh K Babu is the cinematographer. The film has been shot across locations including Kodaikanal and has completed production.

Mamitha Baiju's Tamil projects

For Mamitha Baiju, ‘Irandu Vaanam’ adds another Tamil project to her growing body of work across the Malayalam and Tamil film industries. She has previously been part of ‘Jana Nayagan’, starring Vijay, and ‘Vishwanath & Sons’, starring Suriya.

In Malayalam, the actor recently appeared in ‘Bethlehem Kudumba Unit’, which achieved Industry Hit status and emerged as one of the biggest successes of South Indian cinema this year.

Her continued work across industries has contributed to the anticipation surrounding ‘Irandu Vaanam’, which also marks her first pairing with Vishnu Vishal.

With production now complete, the film is preparing for its worldwide theatrical release on October 23.
