YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, has shared some exciting news with his fans—he's engaged to girlfriend Thea Booysen.

The 26-year-old philanthropist proposed to Thea on Christmas Day. MrBeast posted photos of the intimate moment where he went down on one knee to pop the question, surrounded by loved ones and festive cheer. The couple also posted adorable photos of themselves wearing matching MrBeast-branded Christmas jumpers, along with their dog in matching attire.

In an interview with People, Thea revealed that the proposal was deeply meaningful, with both families involved in the surprise.

"My family flew out from South Africa for Christmas and we were going to do Christmas in our house so both families were here," she shared.

"We were opening presents, and then for the very last present he asked me to close my eyes because it was a surprise."

The proposal wasn’t just a romantic moment—it was a family affair. Thea’s family had travelled all the way from South Africa to be there for the special moment. The heartfelt gesture left everyone involved teary-eyed and overjoyed.

Thea Booysen, a South African author and content creator, hails from Cape Town. She has built a significant online presence, with her YouTube channel, 'More Than Human', focusing on psychological topics. An academic achiever, Thea holds degrees in psychology and law from Stellenbosch University and a master's degree in neuropsychology from the University of Edinburgh.

MrBeast and Thea first met through a mutual friend during his tour in South Africa, where their shared interests quickly sparked a connection. Since then, their relationship has blossomed, with MrBeast proposing shortly after Thea graduated with her master's degree in neuropsychology.

Reflecting on their relationship, Thea shared, "In my mind, we're already married. We're already on the same page about these things. We talk about children, how we're going to live together when we're 70 years old… this was just another step in the process."
