The interest appears to have begun with a meeting in India in 2025. A video shared by Cheng at the time showed an Indian hotel staff member welcoming him with a traditional aarti and tilak. His smile and reaction during the interaction caught viewers' attention, and the clip soon prompted speculation about a possible connection between the two.

He continued by describing the warmth and sincerity he associates with Indian women.

Cheng then appeared to make the post more personal as he recalled his first meeting with the woman.

"And then there's that light in her eyes. The kind that appears when she laughs, when she speaks about home, when something small makes her happy. So honest, so unguarded, that for a moment, the world feels a little gentler than you remembered it. You either see it, or you don't. I saw it. I felt it. From the very first day I walked into that hotel. For once, it felt like God was on my side."

The connection reportedly traces back to Cheng's visit to India in 2025. During his stay, a hotel employee welcomed him with an aarti and applied a tilak as part of the traditional greeting.

Who is Cheng Chang Fan?

Cheng Chang Fan is a Taiwanese actor, model and singer from Taipei. He has reportedly studied at the University of the Arts London in England and has worked across the fashion and entertainment industries.

As a model, Cheng has reportedly been associated with international luxury brands including Dior, Hugo Boss and Burberry. He has also ventured into music, releasing his solo single Ain't Nothing in 2022.

Cheng is perhaps best known for playing Kyan in the 2020 Taiwanese romance drama ‘Craving You’, which also starred David Chiu.
